Assistant Professor of Educational Policy - Boston University

The Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) of Educational Policy. We seek an individual with the skills and promise to develop a national reputation for producing excellent scholarship that is influential both within the academic literature and the national dialogue. The specific area of research focus within educational policy is open; however, we seek candidates who employ rigorous experimental and quasi-experimental quantitative methods to measure the causal effect of educational policies and practices.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership on the research and training agenda of the program. Educational Policy program faculty teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses, advise students, and provide service to the university and the profession.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in education policy or a related field such as economics, public policy, sociology, psychology, human development.
  • A well-established record of published research and grant funding.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in cross-disciplinary research and training (e.g., STEM, SPED, Educational Psychology).
  • Evidence of engagement with policymakers to produce research relevant to policy and practice.
