Assistant Professor of K-12 Educational Administration, Tenure-Track - Texas A&M University

Texas A&M University's Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development, in the College of Education and Human Development, seeks a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of K-12 Educational Administration. The Department of Education Administration and Human Resource Development and the College of Education and Human Development are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service.

Qualifications: Applicants for this position should have an earned doctorate in K-12 Educational Administration, Education Leadership and Policy, or a related field that qualifies the individual to instruct doctoral-level courses related to PK-16 education legal issues. The applicant must also demonstrate potential for publishing in top-tier academic journals and external funding activity consistent with a tenure-earning faculty member at a research extensive university.

Responsibilities: This is a tenure-track professor appointment with responsibilities for two courses per semester in the program area of K-12 Educational Administration. Courses include, but are not limited to education law, policy, politics, and leadership. In addition to research and teaching responsibilities, individuals in these positions are required to provide service to the program, department, college, university, and to their professional organizations.

Appointment: This is a nine-month appointment. The anticipated start date is September 2019. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
