The K-12 Educational Leadership Program within the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies seeks one (1) tenure track assistant and one (1) tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor. We are looking for a new colleague who shares our department’s philosophical commitment to developing educational leaders who will advance innovative, efficient, and socially just education policy solutions through collaborative research, praxis, and practice activities. In particular, our program aims, through its scholarship, teaching, and service to its students and graduates, to strengthen educational opportunities and outcomes for all students, particularly those individuals historically underserved by our current educational and social systems.
For our tenure track positions, we welcome applicants who utilize a full range of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodological approaches. While a broad set of research areas will be considered, priority will be placed on applicants whose scholarship and teaching: (a) address issues of equity and adequacy that translate to improving schools, districts, and education policy; (b) utilize a full range of quantitative analytical approaches; (c) consider issues of K-12 budgeting and finance, law, policy, and/or related areas; and (d) investigate issues salient to the experiences of underserved students.
