The Department of Economics and Education Research Alliance for New Orleans at Tulane University invite applications for a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Economics of Education to begin in fall 2020. The successful candidate will be skilled in applied econometrics and have demonstrated interest in education policy. The Research Fellow will conduct and publish original research about local and national education policy using our extensive and unique data systems.
In partnership with Tulane’s Murphy Institute of Political Economy, we invite applications from candidates who will receive a Ph.D. in economics by fall 2020. In addition to carrying out research on the above topics, the successful candidate will teach one course at the undergraduate economics level annually and is expected to participate actively in research, seminars and other activities in the Department of Economics and the Murphy Institute.
One-third of the successful candidate’s time will focus on studies co-authored with other research team members involving the above topics and one-third is available for other research of the candidate’s choosing. The remaining third will involve either teaching or other research related activities as requested. The appointment is for two years.
