The Truman School of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri invites applications for a visiting assistant professor. Competitive applicants will have demonstrated ability to effectively teach core courses in the School’s Masters of Public Affairs program. The appointment will begin in August 2020 and is a 12 month appointment with full benefits.
Job Duties Duties include teaching MPA courses such as Introduction to Public and Non-Profit Management, Public Service and Democracy, Public Policy Processes, Public Budgeting, Human Resources, and Research Methods. Most, if not all, of the courses will be on-line. Other duties will include working with faculty reviewing applications and policies for the MPA program.
Mandatory Qualifications A Ph.D. or other equivalent advanced degree in Public Administration, Public Management, Political Science, or closely related field is required by the start of the appointment on August 15, 2020. Professional experience in the public or non-profit sector is preferred.
