We are pleased to announce that the International School Choice and Reform Conference (ISCRC) will be returning to its original home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The sixth annual event will take place January 12-15, 2018, at the Sonesta Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale.
The conference will include all sides of the school choice and reform debate and provide an atmosphere where scholars from around the world can present their high-quality, data-backed research among peers.
We will specifically focus on how school choice practice and policy shapes education, including the roles of varied stakeholders, such as parents and teachers. Of particular interest are connections between choice, autonomy, equity and effective education.
The conference encourages empirically-based papers that use strong quantitative, qualitative or mixed methodological approaches and theoretical and philosophical analyses connected to choice. Papers focusing on school choice and reform in other countries or those with an international comparative emphasis are highly encouraged.
If you are interested in presenting at the conference, you will find more detailed information about the call for proposals here:http://iscrweb.org/attending-iscrc/proposals/
If you’re considering attending the conference, we hope you will visit our website—www.iscrweb.org—to learn more. Registration information and more detailed agendas will be posted soon.
