Interested in education policy and research? Apply by Feb. 15, 2019
The Association for Education Finance and Policy is launching a new program targeted for current undergraduate or masters-level students from traditionally underrepresented populations to pursue further graduate work and careers in education policy, research, and finance.
The AEFP Pre-Doctorate Fellows program will take place March 21-23, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri at AEFP’s 44th Annual Conference. Researchers will present on topics such as financial aid and student debt in higher education, K-12 school choice and accountability, and addressing inequality in education systems. In addition, Fellows will have professional development sessions about applying to graduate school and career development.
Undergraduate students or those currently enrolled in a masters program from any college or university are eligible to apply, with preference to students attending institutions in the surrounding area of the Annual Conference of the AEFP. Interested students are encouraged to apply by submitting the following: 1) a short statement of interest; 2) resume; and 3) reference letter from a faculty member or other professional workplace.
To participate in the AEFP Pre-Doctorate Fellows Program, students must be available to attend sessions at the annual AEFP conference on March 21-23, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri. The award includes a waiver of all conference fees, including member dues, conference registration, lunch, and all programming activities.
