The Community College Research Center at the Institute on Education and the Economy at Teachers College, Columbia University is accepting applications for a Senior Research Associate position who will manage a suite of multi-year, grant-funded projects. The successful candidate will design and lead quantitative research projects focused on the success of community college students, particularly in terms of students’ transfer and employment outcomes. This posting is for a full-time Senior Research Associate staff position at the University of Southern California Center for Economic and Social Research. We are searching for candidates with interest in education research, evaluation of education programs, and innovative approaches to curriculum and instruction. Primary responsibilities for this role on a two-year randomized control trial evaluation of a project-based learning intervention include: project management; qualitative data collection; qualitative analysis; and writing. The successful candidate must be self-driven with: excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and project management skills; strong qualitative data collection, analysis and writing skills; scrupulous attention to detail; ability to communicate clearly and confidently with teachers, district administrators, parents and students; and creative problem solving.
