Advancing Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award
The AEFP Advancing JEDI Award recognizes individuals at all levels with an impactful record of research, service, practice, and/or public engagement around justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Eligibility
The intent of this award is to lift up individuals at any career stage whose work has substantially made educational institutions fairer and more just. Advancing JEDI encompasses (but is not limited to) advancing disability rights and justice, gender equity, LGBTQ equity, racial justice, and/or socioeconomic justice.Selection Criteria
Quality and magnitude of impact of scholarship and/or public engagement on research, policy, and/or practice in advancing JEDI.Awards
- A $1000 cash award
- Presentation of a plaque at the AEFP Annual Conference
Submission Process and Nominations
We encourage candidates to apply directly by submitting the application materials listed below before the deadline. It is not necessary to be nominated by someone else. AEFP members, senior scholars, and others may nominate colleagues here. Nominations require only the nominee’s name and institution. The awards committee will follow-up by email to encourage the nominee to submit the required application materials. To the extent possible, nominators will remain anonymous to the nominee.Submission Requirements
