University of Texas at Austin: Tenured Associate/Full Professor in School Leadership
The associate or full professor applicant should have a demonstrated scholarly research agenda in at least one of the following areas: school finance (e.g., policies and systems at the federal, state, district, and school levels), the superintendency; school board/governance, data-informed decision making, multi-level modeling, causal analysis of interventions, or other areas of educational leadership. The candidate should also have research expertise in either quantitative methods, mixed methods, and/or policy evaluation methods. The candidate will be expected to engage with state, district, and school partners and other constituents. We seek a candidate committed to collaborating with members of the Department’s school leadership cluster (faculty in the CSP and TPLA programs). Faculty within this cluster are dedicated to enhancing UT Austin’s national and internationally recognized strengths in district leadership, organizational dynamics, educational change, leadership development, special education, bilingual/ESL education, and urban and rural education.
Primary teaching responsibilities will be in our two school leadership programs, Cooperative Superintendency Program (CSP) and Texas Principal Leadership Academy (TPLA). In addition, this individual will be expected to teach both masters and doctoral students in other programs within the Department and will be able to support CSP and TPLA students in practical applications of leadership in clinical experiences and be expected to teach and advise students at the master’s and doctoral levels, supervise dissertations, and participate in program development across all areas within the department.
