Postdoctoral Scholar, InformEd States/University of Florida (Remote)

The University of Florida’s Institute of Higher Education invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar. Although the successful candidate will be given the option to work on campus at the University of Florida, this is a completely remote position. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work with the InformEd States project, a multi-institution research team that examines higher education policy. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work with Dr. Justin Ortagus and other Principal Investigators from Penn State University, the University of Tennessee, and the University of Oklahoma on a project that examines performance-based funding policies and return on investment outcomes. The Postdoctoral Scholar will clean and analyze longitudinal data on performance-based funding approaches, draft policy briefs and academic papers, present findings from the research at policy and academic conferences, and provide some project management support.

Requirements Candidates for this position should have knowledge of higher education policy and experience cleaning, managing, and analyzing large-scale longitudinal data using Stata or R statistical software. A qualified candidate must hold a doctoral degree or have completed all of the requirements for a doctorate in education, education policy, higher education, or a related field, such as economics or public policy, by August 15, 2024.
